THE NEW VERSION OF THE CLASSIC

With our Trioplan 100 f2.8 II we present you the classic of the Meyer Optik Görlitz family in a new, revised version. The optimized mechanics, the improved optical design and a newly designed lens coating enable the best Trioplan pictures of all times. In addition, the minimum object distance has been reduced to 0.9m. The Trioplan 100, worldwide known for its distinctive soapbubble bokeh, offers photographers the opportunity to rediscover the artistic soul of photography in times of point-and-shoot, instagram snapshots and pixel battles from major manufacturers. With our Trioplan 100 f2.8 II you create unique images and stand out from the crowd.

HISTORICAL CHARM - IMPLEMENTED WITH STATE-OF-THE-ART TECHNOLOGIES

Based on the classic Triplet design and an aperture consisting of 15 steel blades, the Trioplan 100 f2.8 II produces the famous soapbubble bokeh and a unique sharpness curve from the focused area to the background. The optimized construction now offers improved haptics, especially with regard to the aperture setting, as well as even better contrast and sharpness characteristics. The company’s own glass lens production and the production of high-precision mechanical components through German partner companies ensure the best possible quality. The resulting noiseless focusing is particularly popular with videographers. In addition, the Trioplan 100 is manufactured for the most common mounts of modern cameras: Canon EF, Nikon F, Fuji X, Sony E, Pentax K, M42, Micro-Four-Thirds, Leica M and Leica L

THE CERTAIN SOMETHING

With our Trioplan 100 f2.8 II you get a tool that allows you to give your pictures a unique charm and recognition value. Modern lenses rarely or never offer these possibilities, as the focus here is on a 1:1 reproduction of the shooting situation. Unfortunately, this approach robs any kind of individuality and often makes the results comparable.

WHAT MAKES TRIOPLAN PICTURES SO SPECIAL? The Trioplan’s strengths lie above all in nature and portrait photography. It offers balanced sharpness with a particularly attractive bokeh. Besides the famous “soapbubble bokeh”, which is achieved at f2.8 especially in backlighting situations, the blur areas are also very impressively painted with smaller f-numbers. If macro-rings are used, the Trioplan can achieve an image scale of up to 2:1 - so that it can also be used for artistic macro shots.

THE TRIOPLAN 100 F2.8 II IN USE

Especially in portrait and nature photography the Trioplan 100 f2.8 II, designed for the full format, finds many followers. The particularly sharp-edged soap bubble bokeh is created most strongly in situations with open aperture (f2.8) and back light. But even apart from that, this lens draws picturesque gradients in the background and lends your photographs that certain something. Furthermore, it is suitable like no other lens for the use of an extension ring. Due to the shorter minimum object distance, the soap bubbles in the background increase many times over and you achieve an extremely high and fine resolution in the close-up range.
