Lightroom Texture Adjustment for underwater photographers

Wetpixel offers an early guide to the new Texture slider that was launched in the most recent release of Adobe’s Lightroom Classic app. Offering a subtle way of enhancing details in an image, it seems to add contrast to mid-frequency areas of an image. This is ideally suited for correcting the inherent softness caused by shooting through water and the optics we use to do so. As a negative local adjustment, the new tool is an effective way of dealing with backscatter too.

The lens is a wet lens that is designed to convert mid focal length macro lenses into a 150° fisheye lens, primarily on full frame cameras.
