The Lembeh Straits in Indonesia offers some of the finest, most reliable macro photography on the planet. It is not that the species that inhabit the area are necessarily unique (although some are), it is more that they are so reliably found. This gives image-makers creative freedom to experiment and play with techniques that are otherwise reserved to more common subjects.

Wetpixel is hosting a laid-back 9-night stay at Lembeh Resort, with the single and simple goal of macro photographic productivity. There is no schedule of formal lecture sort presentations, although Wetpixel Publisher Adam Hanlon will be on hand to assist and provide guidance. Perhaps more importantly, you will be surrounded by creative photographers who will share their experiences, advice, and enthusiasm!

In order to maximize the imaging potential, the trip is laid out to be productive. Client to guide ratios is 2:1, ensuring each individual will have a host of subjects.

The package includes 16 guided boat dives, allowing for night diving and repetitive dives on the same site in order to shoot subjects in multiple creative ways. If additional dives are required, these can be added to the resort.

In addition, Lembeh Resort’s house reef has a huge variety of subjects and the diving package gives unlimited access to it, both day and night.

The package

The Wetpixel Lembeh Macro Extravaganza package includes:

• 16 guided boat dives – all with Nitrox
• Unlimited guided house reef dives with Nitrox (typically 7am-10pm)
• Guidance and advice from Wetpixel Publisher Adam Hanlon
• 2:1 Photographer to Critters@Lembeh dive guide ratio
• Shared accommodation in a deluxe bungalow
• Airport transfers
• All meals, snacks, etc.
• One cocktail and one 2-hour spa treatment
• All gratuities and tips for both the resort and dive center

The Fee

Payment Schedule

Payment 1 ($2000) is due on booking
Payment 2 ($1500) will be due on 01 February 2022
Payment 3 (balances including any extras) will be due on 01 August 2022
