Lightroom guru and underwater photographer Erin Quigley has reposted one of her Lightroom tutorials about using the Adjustment brush in Lightroom 4. Using the brush is fundamentally the same in Lightroom 5, so the advice is current. Erin has found a quote from Ansel Adams about tonal corrections:

“Dodging and burning are steps to take care of mistakes God made in establishing tonal relationships.”

She is quick to point out that most of her tonal issues can’t be blamed on God or Canon. and that she takes full responsibility for (her) bad exposures!
