Tokina has announced the 8 mm SZ f/2.8 Fish Eye lens for Sony E and Fuji X mounts. Although primarily designed for APS-C sized sensor cameras, Tokina notes that it is possible to remove the lens hood to use them as circular fisheye lenses with full-frame cameras. The minimum focus distance is 10 cm (3.9 in)

Tokina announces test results with Nikon Z cameras

Tokina has formally announced the test results of their F mount lenses with the Nikon FTZ adaptor and Z7, Z7 and Z50 cameras. The most important information for underwater image makers is that autofocus will not work with both versions of the 10-17mm f/3.5-4.5 fisheye (AT-X 107) and their 100mm macro (AT-X M100 PRO D Macro). Manual focus will work, of course.

Tokina will be shipping their atx-i 11-16mm f/2.8 wide angle zoom lens in early November. The new lens is an updated version of the company’s AT-X 116 lens and is designed for use with APS-C or DX cameras. It is available in Nikon F and Canon EF mount versions.

Tokina has announced a new APS-C rectilinear wide angle zoom lens. The 14-20 F2 Pro DX offer a maximum aperture of f2 at all focal lengths, internal focusing and a minimum focus distance of 0,28m. Quite how this will work behind a dome port remains to be seen but if it works, it is an interesting alternative.
