Retroactive app allows use of Aperture on macOS Catalina

macOS Catalina on Wetpixel

DPReview has reported that an app has been developed that will allow the use of legacy Mac apps like Aperture and iPhoto within the 64-bit environment on Apple’s latest OS. Called Retroactive, it can be downloaded from GitHub, and full installation instructions are also available.

Users have to have a copy of Aperture or iPhoto on their machines, and Retroactive does not add support or extra features to the apps. It also does not have full functionality, with slideshows or videos not being played for example.
