Panasonic’s LUMIX DMC-GX80 Adds Style and Substance to Urban Photography

Panasonic’s latest interchangeable lens camera - the LUMIX DMC-GX80 - is perfect for photographers who want to improve the quality of their photography, while retaining the style and creativity freedom they expect. Boasting the latest 4K PHOTO and video capabilities, state-of-the-art image stabilization and advanced artistic functions, the latest LUMIX G is the perfect companion for capturing life as it unfolds.

Compact and stylish, the LUMIX DMC-GX80 is designed and built to deliver professional-level results while giving you the portability you need when out searching for that perfect shot. Featuring a beautifully textured, retro leather effect, as well as high-quality knurled aluminum dials and a thick sturdy grip for one-handed shooting, the LUMIX DMC-GX80 gives you both style and substance.

Capturing your world in high quality

To capture the chance encounters and unexpected incidents that go by in a split second, you need a camera that fits in the palm of your hand and delivers the highest quality images, at speed. The LUMIX DMC-GX80 boasts all the latest technological advances to allow you to dramatically improve the quality of your photography, even when the action happens quickly, or takes place at night.

The camera’s technological advances include 4K Video – four times the resolution and clarity of traditional Full HD – as well as 4K PHOTO, which allows you to capture even the most intimate, fleeting moments by selecting the perfect 8-megapixel still image from a 4K Video. Additionally, the LUMIX DMC-GX80’s ultra-fast Auto Focus excels in both speed and accuracy, so your camera will always keep up with you.

Featuring Panasonic’s newly developed 5-axis Dual Image Stabilization technology, both the camera’s body and lens feature high-end image stabilization, so you can achieve stunning imagery, even when shooting out of the hand and on the move. The benefits are even more apparent when in high zoom mode or in low-light, meaning that you’ll get results you can be proud of, even in tricky environments.

Your individuality in every shot

The LUMIX DMC-GX80 is packed with the latest artistic functions and technologies that mean you can always add your own creative style to your work, without the need for complex post-production. The Creative Control mode features a total of 22 filter options, while the camera also offers a newly integrated L.Monochrome mode, providing monochrome pictures with the rich gradation that can give your photography the style of a black and white film.

The camera also features Panasonic’s innovative Post Focus function, allowing you to change the focus areas of the image – even after shooting. This means you can totally change the perspective of your work - from choosing which face you want to be in focus in a busy street scene to adding more background warmth to a close-up macro shot. Operation is simple and easy – after shooting in Post Focus mode, you just need to touch the point where you want to set focus when reviewing the image.

Control and connectivity for life on the move

The LUMIX DMC-GX80 also puts the control in your hands, so you can get the best shot in every condition, as well as share your work instantly. The large 3.0-inch touch-screen monitor tilts up by 80-degrees and down by 45-degrees to allow you to shoot from a high or low angle, easily.

With in-built Wi-Fi connectivity, you can also connect the camera to your smartphone or tablet giving you remote shooting options, as well as share your work instantly, wherever you are.
