Adobe explains how to use and create Profiles in Lightroom

April’s release of Lightroom and Camera Raw included a significantly updated Profiles feature. Adobe has released a blog post that explains in some depth how these work. Among the information is a paper written by Thomas Knoll and his ACR teammates Eric Chan and Max Wendt explaining the nuances between the new Adobe Raw profiles.

Perhaps more pertinently for underwater photographers is the ability to create custom profiles to offset the effects of light passing through water. Adobe’s Josh Haftel presents a tutorial video on how to do so:

Lastly, Adobe has updated Lightroom Classic 7.3 to 7.3.1 with a bunch of bug fixes. There is no new functionality in the new release.
