Canon 550EX Speedlight, UK Germany D30 Housing

Comments from photographer:
"I jumped into the water and discovered that I only had a half-fill in my tank, but there were so many turtles around (when I finally got to Turtle Pinnacle) that it was easy to get a shot of one. Too bad we didn't have a real wide angle port for the camera (for a more dramatic effect)."

"This is the shot I got when I found the reef, and David didn't."

4th Place - "Hawkfish"
by Eric Cheng

Camera Details:
Nikon Coolpix 990 Digital Camera, Nikon WC-E24 wide-angle adapter, Ikelite underwater housing, Ikelite Substrobe 200

- Conclusion -

Jim selected four top digital photos from the trip, which are displayed above. There were some photos that were sharper and more saturated than the ones that were chosen, but these four stood out because they are some how different from mainstream photographs of marine life (or perhaps they were just different from the majority of the photos taken by the photographers on this trip). I'm going to try to get some closing words from Jim and/or David in the next few days. They should be posted here eventually.
