Anyone who has tried using Final Cut Pro to export trimmed video clips from their new digital SLR should follow this forum discussion about how to do it properly. Apparently, Final Cut Pro has had a long-standing bug that makes it unable to properly trim and export video clips that lack timecode. Since video clips taken with a digital SLR do not contain timecode, this is an issue that will affect many people.
