Aquatica announces port adapters for Subal and Sea and Sea

Aquatica today announced that they are releasing a series of port adapters to allow owners of other housing systems to migrate to the Aquatica line. The first will accommodate older generation Subal (Type 3) ports. This adapter actually fits inside the Aquatica bayonet, and does not add any extension to the ports being adapted. As a result, any lenses can be used as they normally would have on a Subal housing, from the Nikon 10.5mm fisheye on up the focal range.
The second port adapter will accept Sea & Sea NX generation ports, but due to size restrictions adds a small amount of extension. This has been specifically calculated to accommodate the Tokina 10-17 zoom without further extension. Both ports adapters are manufactured from anodized aluminum, and are slated to ship this spring with a suggested retail price of $95. Aquatica plans to expand this line of adapters in the near future.
