Nikon has released a service advisory for the D70 (not 70s) and D2h (again, not 2Hs) regarding failures of the metering/circuitry/components.

Advisory can be found by clicking ->this link, then clicking the button on the right hand side of the screen.

If, like me, you have an older D70, this is good news. It is particularly good news for me, as my body developed the dreaded Blinking Green Light Of Death late last week, and I was not relishing the fight with Nikon service to get it dealt with.

With this new advisory in effect, D70's with BGLOD and D2H's with metering failure are repaired free of charge, even when out of warranty.

Thanks for the heads-up. I havn't had any problem with my D2H but it's good to know that Nikon is standing behind it's products.

Yep, thanks for the heads up, too bad there is no where in Yap to get this done.... sad.gif
