Hi!

Do you know if is it possible to use the new D70s on a regular D70 housing?

no problem whatsoever.

The D70 and D70s are identical in dimension and controls positions, the only different is small increase in the LCD screen so it’s supposed to fit.
Few people where reported that their D70 housing is working great with the D70s, but I don't remember if the Subal was one of them.

Carlos,

How is your subtronic maxi working with the D70? Have you used it in iTTL?

Obrigado,

Luiz

The Subal housing works perfectly with the D70 or D70s and the GS Finder is a highly recommended option.

Luiz,

Yes I've used it in i-TTL mode. It was working fine for a few days. You can see some photos on the following link:

then I had an electrical problem. It all stopped working. It went back to Subtronic service. I'm just curious if anyone out there owns one and if is it working steadly.
Thanks

Hi Carlos,

It was great to see your pictures from Cape Verde, I was there back in 1999 but didn't have a camera! I dove on that cave, it was awesome. Nice photos!

Abraço,

Luiz

Hi Luiz,

The name of the cave is "Buracona".
As you might remember it´s a small hole (4m diameter) in the rock where the sunlight penetrates. This hole is 10m above water surface. When the concentrate sunlight hits the surface it produces a awesome beam of sunlight underwater.
