Hello!
When I purchased my housing from Adorama, I also purchased an Ike flat port ( 5502.41) to fit the crappy stock 18-55 Canon lens that came with my 20D. I didn’t know what I was doing at the time, (still don’t) but for some reason I went with the Flat instead of the Dome…and all I currently shoot is wide angle shots. I took the flat port to the reef and most all my shots have reflections (of the port?) on my images. Should I try and sell this port, given I don’t shoot macro at this time, or is their any reason I would want to hold onto this particular port?
Thanks for any responses,
Al Nelson

AL,
No doubt you have already checked this, but the Ikelite site doesn't show that port compatible with any of the Canon lenses. I may be wrong on that though.
It fits the Nikon 60mm macro lens...you might try listing it in the classified section here, as there are a lot of Nikon shooters and the 60mm is pretty popular.
Maybe someone will swap you a 5503 port and you'll be set (for the 18-55 at least)

David,
That's good advice regarding putting the lens on the classified section here.
I guess the guy at Adorama was more interested in making a sale rather than helping me get what I needed. I called Ikelite and they were surprised to hear about them selling me that lens for the rig I own...and advised me to get the proper dome...which I did, and I'll be testing it out tomorrow.
Cheers
