Digideep have images of Hugyfot's new housing for the D70. I have always been a big Hugy fan. This looks like a very nice bit of kit.

Digideep (click on the link over there ----> ) has more pictures.

My only initial critique is that the two large knobs on the back either side of the viewfinder (the shooting mode selector and the primary control dial) might bash into your facemask when looking through the viewfinder. This may be an optical illusion from the angle of the shot above.

"I have always been a big Hugy fan."
Is this because they designed the first Hassy housing, which formed the basis for the later model that you have? BTW, the port threads of the Huggy are the same as the blue housings (I had both for a while). Also the lens gears are exchangeable across all models, even with the stainless steel EL housing. They different mainly by whether or not they have a 'see-through' slot, which does not affect their coupling functionality.
Cheers!

Housing looks great as all Hugy's do...
Is there a service now that is doing support, answers the phone and is selling parts and ports? Last year I sold my F4 housing because of NO qualified support...

I was thinking of taking buying the D100 Hugyfot housings - has anyone used this housing - do you recommend it?
How is the viewfinder?
I noticed it has only one syn bulkhead. Is that a problem?
Are other people's port compatible with the housing? (e.g.Aquatica)?
Kind regards

I used Hugy housings for 12years. They all provide excellent quality and the support and availability of spare parts were always perfect. Last year, René has closed his business and help/support/spare parts from Greenforce are UNAVAILABLE and INEXISTENT. :-( :-(
I feel sorry when such a great company like Hugyfot closes but I can understand René don't want to sell his housing until he dies. Btw, René is fine, he is not very happy when he sees what Greenforce is doing, but he closed his garage at the Lake Constance for ever....
This D70 housing looks like a real hugy, but with the lack of information and support from Greenforce I would not recommend it.
And the Seacam/Subal viewfinders are just better :-)

I have just reserved a Hugy D70 housing, so I can't post my opinion about this housings yet. I had the Hugy D70 on my hands a week ago, in the Paris diving show, and it is small and very ergonomic.
I have decided to buy a Hugy because I like those housings, and because I am a Green Force light user and these torches are wonderful. I've never had any problem and any spare part is been always served fast. So, I suppose that the lack of info and service from Hugy during 2004 is because the new hugy owner need some time to restart Mr. Hugenschmidt bussines.
I have a friend who owns a D100 Hugy housing and he is very happy with it.
When I have my housing I will tell you more... If you want!

Thanks for the input. I got a response from Hugyfot that they are even supporting this housings in Asia (Hong Kong) which is new.
Please let us have your report on the D70 Housing - the Hugyfot is no doubt the prettiest housing in the market and their website (new this week) seems to suggest that it is business as usual?
I love the fact that it can be operated by one hand - so will probably trade in my Aquatica (which is really an anchor) for the their remaining D100 housings - in fact they even apparently make D2h housings although it is a bit more expensive.
The viewfinder seems fine/huge - you mentioned that the Seacam/Subal one is better - do you mean after you attach the magnifiers?
