Someone asked me to post some photos of how I pack my storm case. On a recent trip, I was able to fit 2 DSLR housings, one dome port, two flat ports, and two extension rings, as well as my strobe arms, sync cords, some lenses, and gears and tools. The second SLR housing isn't in the case, but it goes in the open spot./
What I didn't get in the storm was my strobes, and the mounting base for the Sea and Sea housing (non-breakable). The strobes went in carryon and the base went in my dive bag.

New UW SLR housing question...
Does any remove the baseplate and handles to get more room?
Thanks everyone,
Dave

Hi Dave,
I merged this topic with the other one I started the day before yesterday showing my Stormcase packed w/ Aquatica S2.
I take the handle(s) off. Some handles are easier to take off and put back than others - how easy is the 300D housing?
Cheers

James,
Thats great, the threads were duplicates.
It would not be that hard to remove the base and handles. Two scews for the base and it looks like the handles are on with allen heads. It would give me more room for a second strobe later, but I'll have to carry more tools. Plus I check our scuba gear in a pelican 1650, so I could throw the base and handles in there.
That is a LowePro roller. I was torn between buying another case for the scuba gear and foam for the pelican, then use the peli for the camera housings, or what I did. I wanted to carry everything on, so I bought the roller. We'll see how it works out. There is now a thread on DD that addresses this, but was a bit late.
Thanks,
Dave
