Can someone who knows the technical details behind the Fuji S2 pro raw format detail them here?
I want to know if they are capturing raw sensor data, and thus, storing 6 million "pixels" (single color values) of information, to be interpolated optionally to 12 megapixels in the raw converter, or if it actually stores 12 million values in the RAW file, thus invalidating the name, "RAW file." ..?

Here's the relevant article from DPreview that describes the SuperCCD:

But it still doesn't answer Eric's question.

I'm pretty certain that it's just 6 MP of it. Because if it's 12-bits per "pixel" (one color value), and it has 12 million pixels, then you'd need 18 megabytes to store them. James says that the S2 Pro raw file isn't compressed, and since "RAW" files are 12 megabytes, it ain't enough space.
