Does anyone know if anybody makes a remote control for the D100. I'm looking for something that at least controls the shutter release, but any extra features would be nice. I've found them commercially for other cameras, but nothing for the D100. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I would ask Light and Motion. The camera can be controlled through the 10pin port.

If worst comes to worse, you can always buy an MB battery grip and make a cable connection from the grip topside through the camera housing to the 10pin socket. The L&M camera tray is already designed to connect to the camera's 10pin socket also... so I would think the Titan would be super easy to remote control.

The other option is a simple plunger cable release.

We do...

The DigiSnap 2000 controllers can be used with the 10pin connector. This allow for shutter release, and time-lapse operations. That's all that's available via the 10 pin on the D100.

Are you sure Mark? Light and Motion seems to have figured out how to do ALL the camera controls through the 10-pin connector for their Titan housing.

Uh, where's the 10 pin connector on the D100? I've got one on the MD100 battery pack, but it is not on the stock body. The Titan accesses the connector on the bottom of the camera which does not have 10 pins.

I have an MC30 remote that I use on land.

Good pt George. It's the connector that the MB-100 plugs into. I remember - it only has controls for shutter release and 2 command dials, right?

Right.. the bottom of the camera does have a lot more pins / functionality than the 10 pin connector. As I remember, the 10 pin on the MB-D100 only has the shutter release and power.

Inon are developing one at the moment if it's not already available.

Sorry this is incorrect. Inon's housing for the Canon 10D contains a photo electric sensor which allows among other things the camera to be triggered by a light beam.
