I have never shot macro but i am thinking of trying it out. I have a Sea Cam housing for my S2 pro with a fish eye doom port. Can i use a 50mm macro lens behind this dom port? Do i have to buy a flat macro port? What lenses do you all recomend? I want to shoot fish and stuff but i am not interested to much in the smallest bugs.

As long as the macro lens fits with in the dome, when racked all the way out to it's closest focus setting it will work fine.

And depending on the domeport maybe you need an additional close-up lens to be mounted to your macro. Otherwise it can be that you cannot focus close enough.

Ingemar,

Seacam maakes, or at least used to make, a very compact small dome port just for macro shooting. Rather than have a specific port for macro, you could get a long extension tube and then simply change between flat and dome front glass at your preference for the dive. I do exactly this when using the 70-180 micro-nikkor and years ago when I was using a Canon F1 in an Aquatica housing I also found using a small dome with Canon's 50mm macro lens very worthwhile when shooting fish. I don't think you will need any diopter lenses if the lens you have is a true macro lens that focuses to either 1:2 or 1:1.
