I'm really intrigued by the ETTL claims by Aquatica. On the home page of Wepixel they claim that it will work with most existing TTL strobes - How can they be sure that most strobes will recycle quickly enough to mimic preflashes? I find this hard to believe?!?
I hope that the ICU will be easily bypassed.
Also, they claim that the dttl will be out soon as well - seems like that would be a totally different system altogether... Has Aquatica reverse engineered nikon's dttl also? Just in time for iTTL!!!
I guess we'll have to wait and see on all this - remember ikelites troubles in its 1st attempts to mimic preflash. And that was with Ike's own strobes!

I am assuming by testing it with various strobes.

Kasey, I've used the YS90dx and Inon Z220s with my Tetra in TTL and both work. You cannot get a full power flash though. After the pre-flash maybe 3/4 power max which is plenty for macro.

Congrats, Todd!!
I know the feeling, and at my age it feels good to be like a kid!
Can't wait to get down in the tropics with my newly housed Rebel, two weeks and counting now.
Hope to share some pics with everyone and maybe trade some tips about the Rebel.
Dave.

I will see what I can find out next time I chat with them.
I plan on getting it in a pool and wet as soon as possible. As for actual diving we will see. I have a late summer trip but am trying to work on something for before then.
I should welcome the new housing with a Christening trip shouldn't I
