If you aren't familiar with what the trip is like, you can check out my trip reports from last year (summary: INSANELY AWESOME) http://echeng.com/journal/tag/dominica2010
* Trip 1. 02-08 February 2011 (arrive on 1 Feb, depart 9 Feb)
* Trip 2. 09-15 February 2011 (arrive on 8 Feb, depart 16 Feb)
Both trips are for 7 days on the water, and there are 4 spaces available on each trip. _The trip leader will be Tony Wu for both trips._ I wish I could go next year, but I cannot. _I will not be on the trip, _which means that you can send me photos from Dominica next year to make me crazy jealous.
_The cost per person is US$5,500_, which covers transfer to/ from airport, accommodation on shared basis, breakfast and lunch every day, the permit, the boat and experienced crew. It does not cover dinner, airfares, incidental expenses.
If you are interested in reserving a spot, please send a message to Tony Wu with your preferred date(s).
Please note that Tony is traveling to Ogasawara from 28 September to 12 October to try again with the sperm whales there, and he will not have internet access during that time.
When Tony gets back, he will respond to emails in the order he receives them. To confirm a spot(s), we will need a 50% non-refundable deposit, with full payment required by 01 December.
This trip requires a permit for us to get into the water. The names of all the people going with me need to be on the permit. Please respond only if you are certain you can go, as the permitting process requires filling out forms with specific names (which is also why we require a 50% deposit).
_Disclosure_: There is a less expensive trip now being marketed out there. While both trips will get you into the water, our operator is the only one Tony and I have personally been out with. The boat is large and comfortable, and the staff have been shown to be able to get people into the water consistently with sperm whales.
_Other Trips_
We still have 2 spots available for Ambon, Indonesia, which is this coming November 7-16, 2010 (led by me and Tony Wu). The trip is actually booked full, but we have 2 people who want to cancel. If you're interested, please contact Dan Baldocchi.
