Hello folks.
I am a professional photographer and I am now taking my first step in Underwater photography. I intend to use a D100 with an aquatica housing and the Sigma 15-30mm. Do you think i'll have problems fitting this lens in the housing as it is quite lerge?
Any tips-suggestions are very welcome!
Cheers

The inner diameter of the 8" dome port mounting flange is about 96 mm, and the port extension rings should be the same or even a tiny bit larger.

You will most likely need an extension ring as well.

Thanks Chris!
The lens diameter is 87mm, so i guess it fits ok.
My worry is the lens length which is 130mm.
Will an extension be enough you think?
Kind regards,

I am sorry but I do not know which extension would best suit your lens. Making sure the lens will not contact the inner face of the port is important But even more critical is matching the port to the lens so that the virtual image created by the port matches the lens's sweet spot in terms of focal distance.

A diopter may also be required. check the "Ikelite, S2, and 12-24 Lens" topic for for detailed info on using or not using diopters.

I khow!
I contacted Norma from aquatica and she suggested that they can make zoom gear.
On the other hand they are not sure if the extention for the 105mm lens would fit, as they haven't tested the sigma 15-30.
Sounds weird, or not?
This lens takes only rear filters, but i don't think i need a diopter.
Thanks for the link, as well!
Has anyone out there used the sigma 15-30 yet?

Yorgos, do you have an answer for your questions? I am thinking to purchase this lens for topside and I would like to use underwater too. Did you find the best extension ring for this combination (Aquatica AD100 and sigma 15-30) ?
