We made a brief trip to Subic Bay in Philippines this Easter. It's quite different from the other
more common destinations like Puerto Galera, Dumaguette, Anilao etc. Mostly wreck dives.

It's easy enough to get there from Manila, so if you've a few days in that area, it's worth

Haha, made me look!

I was stationed at Clark Air Base in the Philippines back in the mid to late 80's. We made many drive trips to Subic while I was there. Great diving and great people. I would love to make a return trip there again soon. I am sure things have changed, but it would be fun to return for diving and site seeing. Thanks for the great post and the pics!

Thanks guys. Couple of curious things about Subic Bay -- generally low amount of coral,
even on the wrecks that have been around for a while now, and no moray eels (I mean
PG is just down South along the same coastline, it has an eel in every hole almost)..
Any marine bio guys know why ?

Shucks! I thought we'd be able to swap stories about Subic Bay, but I've never been diving there!
