In October a group of 14 South Africans from Cape Town embarked on the long haul to Cebu in the Philippines. The plan was for 10 days diving spread over 4 different resorts, and was organised with Sea Explorers. The first few days was spent at Turtle Bay Resort, Moalboal, diving the reefs and walls there and at Pescador Island. The next stop was Pura Vida Resort at Dauin, where the diving alternated between magnificent wide angle dives at Apo Island and muck dives on the house reefs. After that it was off to Alona Beach and diving at Balicasag Island. The last resort was at Cabilao and was mainly wall diving for macro subjects.
This was the first group of South Africans that Sea Explorers have hosted and hopefully we did not do too much damage to our reputation! It was an awesome trip and the diving is world class. Many thanks to Bruno, Ayog, Edgar and all the other dive guides, boat crew and staff for making our stay such a pleasant one.
