Hi all. This is my first attempt at posting a small dive trip report and pics here on Wetpixel. I have been diving since October '08 and have logged 78 dives by the end of this recent trip, first time of course, to Anilao. The viz generally was good, and currents a little unpredictable, and water coldish at around 25-26 degress from surface to 30m.

I was surprised at the lack of fish species around the reef sites, and I only spotted one school of jacks in the distance at the Cathedral. Secret Bay and Basura yielded most of the images seen here, all taken on the Canon G10 in Canon housing, internal flash, manual setting. Typical setting for flash would be Macro, full zoom, ISO100, 1/1000th, f8.0 and flash intensity varied to suit conditions. As I'm still beginning my journey into UW photography, any feedback or criticism would be most welcome. Thanks for looking.

Cheers,

Lee

The fifth picture from your first post is great! You really got the colors to pop.

Hi, great photos!
Was wondering about the pygmy seahorse - you didn't use a macro lens, did you? has canon added a supermacro button?

Thanks for the kind words.

Margaret, they Pygmy was shot using the regular macro function on the G10. I've since gotten a macro adapter as well.

It's cropped down by a factor of 4 or so from the original print.

Cheers,

Lee
