I have finally finished part 1 of my trip report for the PNG highlands. I'm working on the dive trip to Milne Bay in part 2 and will add that when its ready. I've written the report with a LOT of detail because when I was researching the trip I couldn't find much info about the area. Hope you enjoy it.

Part 2 - Diving in Milne Bay will be coming soon!

Great read Bonnie! The pics are great too. Can't wait for part two. The Mother-in-law shot is very disturbing. Please don't do that again.
Cheers,
Steve
Glad you made it to Tari and the southern PNG Highlands, Bonnie. I hope it has not changed too much since I was there several years ago. When I visited, Chinese owned markets were moving into Tari, and sunglasses and pepsi were making a debut. Seeing a Huli Wigman walking down a remote path wearing shades is quite, well, interesting but also somewhat sad to see that globilization is taking its toll on even the most remote cultures.
Since you are heading to Milne Bay, if you are into muck diving, make sure you dive at LAUADI. Definitely a very, very good muck dive, especially great for photo-ops. I dove LAUADI at least five times.
Enjoy the remainder of your travels!

Wow Bonnie,
Impressive report.
I've been in PNG, but had no chance to get to the highlands.
I've been "only" in New England, on the Star Dancer & Walindi.
I really enjoyed it, next time I'll have to make the Highlands as well.
Here's my story:
