Wow ... looks like you've got the hang of the new camera! Nice, nice work.

The luring frogfish is a kick. Liked your trip report but found myself wanting to hear more about the diving and the affected dive sites. A little selfish motivation as I'll probably be heading that way in July

hope you have a great trip in July. I love Bonaire, we found lots of damage to most properties, most docks were taken out, etc. up by oil slick leap, lots of hard coral and soft coral damage, along with sponges. Still plenty of fish life and did not have a bad dive. We saw some damage on every dive but the north seemed to be the worst. Hope that helps, I'd go back tomorrow so it was not that horrible. Scott

I was there in early November and the damage was apparent, but not the end of the world. Probably the saddest thing is that the Town Pier was apparently wiped pretty clean. Another thing worth reinforcing is the eel die-off. We saw a freshly dead green moray that must have been a good six or seven feet long and as thick as my thigh. On another dive at Klein, there was a very large dead spotted moray that had a lobster feeding on it. The guides said the large morays were dying off pretty rapidly and they don't know why. Smaller ones do not appear to be affected. They said that a biologist had been hired to conduct a study but that the report wasn't done yet . . .
