Anyone know what happen at BreakWater Monterey, CA this afternoon ? I did a short dive 50min from ~2pm - ~3pm and when I came out 3 black and white and I didn't even see the ambulance, the cop took the scuba set in the back seat and left. Folks said the lady stop breathing before she got back from the kelp patch. Just so sad ~

I walked right by there on the way to Backscatter just a 2:00 that day. Was in town for a meeting that day. Didn't notice a thing. Everything seemed very quiet for a Saturday. I'm sure of the time because I had to make it back for a class.

Strange that I didn't see anything.

We must be at different Break Water and differet Backscatter shop :-) :-)
I swear I saw at least 50+ people in the water (not counting the submerged divers) and 15 floats when I arrive at 1:30pm.
I got in the water a little after 2pm, so I missed the entire event, when I exit at 3, I saw cops & that was it.
Glad it turns out no one die!

Yes, can't see how I missed this. I left the convention center at 1:43 pm and walked along the waterfront to Backscatter. Took about 15 minutes to get there. Bought a strobe and walked back. Had a class at the convention center at 3:00. Was back by about 2:30.
