Anyone who has a Canon 20d knows the viewfinder is from "hell". In the ikelite housing you can't see the entire image. You have to move your head up, down, left and right to see what you have framed....relatively contrary to the function of an SLR.

Anybody hear of a fix or add on lens to correct the problem?

Yeah, I wish I could mount one of those larger view finders on mine.

Hi,

You can bore out the hole and mount a Seacam viewfinder. I bet you could do the same w/ the Inon viewfinder but I haven't gotten to examine it close enough to say for sure.

Any of the viewfinders that mount using a circular hole and bore-seal (aka piston) o-ring system should work.

Cheers

Hitem,

1) Buy a low profile opaque mask (black silicone or dark gray).

2) A friend bought the cheap EP-EX15 eyepiece extender for his Canon Digital Rebel, and had to grind a bit of the magnifier's plastic frame off it so it wouldn't tip the camera forward. He used it in his Ikelite housing and even though it DID make the image appear a tad farther away, you could see the corners very well.

Personally, I simply smash my face as close to the back of the housing smile.gif

Works for me!
