Tried out my new EOS5D with Sea & Sea housing + Athena glass dome today. I was using the new sigma 15mm f2.8 EX DG lens. This shot was taken at ISO 1600 f5.6 125th just using available light. I dont think it's too bad for ISO 1600. I have more shots if anyone is wanting to see more.

Wow, is that the BP Magnus platform? Or at least a little model of one? :-)

Very cool, please post more, and some info.

Cheers

Nerd !

SO what depth are you at and how much light was there ... i am considering the 5d this xmas time ... i am enjoying seeing how well it performs.
Anymore photos and info would be great to see.

Ok. I have more pix and info and will post soon.

depth was about 16m and it was a crappy overcast day, lots of cloud and rain. sun came out later and got some very bright shots in the shallows at the end of the dive. will post pic as proof!

Shot taken in the shallows at around 4-5m depth. Auto WB at time of taking photograph, then adjusted in RAW convertor. Slight sharpening and saturation + levels tweak. ISO 800. 1/40th f6.4. I'm keen to try using Alex Mustards Green Water filter here in the UK. The 5D kicks ass man!

You will love it Giles, a great step up from the D60 above and below the surface. That and the price is getting very moderate now, I'm even thinking of getting another.

It's a shame our paths didn't cross while I was at the Cayman Digital Madness, you could have had a good mess about with my rig.
