Kees,
Your housing is likely old enough the current port locks are NOT the low profile ones required for use with the shortest (Superwide) 8" dome port extension. If you have additional Ikelite 8" dome port extensions the older port locks will click closed like usual. So I'd install low profiel port locks as they work like the older style EXCEPT when you use the Superwide extension.
You actually click CLOSED the low profile port locks before lining up the cutouts on the Superwide extension and pressing down to seat your properly lubricated o-ring, then turn clockwise until it stops. There is an orientation "dot" you can see inside the port when it is fully secured to the housing port opening.
You may even want to mark the top of your dome shade with a whie marker or tape at the 12 o'clock posistion so you can look over the back of your housing during a dive and confirm the port is still turned and locked all the way on.
Hope this helps......

My Ike 8" dome came in yesterday.
The manual says I have to install the low profile portlock wich should be provided with the #5510.10 Super Wide Body (it wasn't)
The manual also said that all modern housings are provided with the low profile lock. I have an early D70 housing (without the TTL-module) so I don't know if my locks are OK.
The dome fits with my current locks, but I have the feeling the dome rests on the locks. Is this OK, or do I do I have to wait for the new locks. (and wait another week before getting my beautiful dome wet)
