Does anybody know if the L & M 12-24 zoom gear will work on non-nikon 12-24's. If so which ones?

Thanks for the help!
Stefin
The Nikon 12/24 lens has its zoom ring fitted near the front of the lens, where the glass is. Tokina and, I believe Sigma, have put there zoom ring near the base of there lenses, where it attaches to the camera. I have no experience with light and motion, but if they have a zoom gear wheel within the main body of there housing's, like Sea and Sea, the lens gear has to fit to the zoom ring then the body of the lens gear runs back toward the camera body and align with the housings gear wheel, where as the Tokina and sigma's zoom rings sit almost directly below the housings gear wheel when you fit the camera and lens into the housing.
