HI ALL,
Here are a couple of questions, how many of you
use bracketing & if so, what is your'e set up?
The same for Exposure Compensation? & the last for
the moment is how many of you optimize your'e
images? with thevari-programs with in your'e cameras?
Sorry for all the questions by with your'e help it will help
my images get better.

I have used bracketing on ambient light shots 1/2 stop either way. I don't use bracketing with a strobe because you have to wait for it to recycle by which time the subject is likely to have moved.

Most of my strobe shots I take with the camera on manual. I do use P mode sometimes and shift the aperture and shutter speed to whatever I want using the command dial. When using P I'm using it with matrix metering so that the exposure is right for the overall scene I if I'm using flash I set the aperture to give my the effect I want on the foreground subject. I don't use any of the other modes underwater.

i bracker all of my exposures manually with the fstop. Sometimes with strobe settings but not often.

On land i often use P and play with the +/- manually.

I leave all in camera settings off and do all optimizing in PS except in crap viz where i sometimes use manual WB for wide angle

For sure I do a lot less bracketting now that I am shooting digital. For me it depends on the subject. If it is solitary, I may brackett my exposure, especially if the subject is reflective. For moving subjects, I try and do a test shot and adjust from there to get a good looking histogram. I shoot manual on both strobes and camera.

I should have been clearer. I do bracket shots manually when the opportunity is there and the subject and or lighting demand it. I do not use the auto bracketing available on the D70.
