Hi All.

Just returned back from a trip to the Maldives and had a chance to test out my 15mm FE with a Magic filter only on one occasion

Although the Reef Forna was lacking, I was still impressed with the colours that came out in the pictures.

take a look at some of these shots, Not the best images I agree, but the colours shine through.

I'll certainly be using it again that's for sure.. Thanks to Alex & Peter

Great photos Craig

Is it not amazing what you can do with magic filter?

Alex have open the doors for the colors in available light photography!!!

Hi Lambis

thanks for your comments.

I found it really hard work to use the 15mm out in the Maldives, I just couldn't get close enough to big pleagics and CFWA on the reef was near impossible.

i hope to have a better session with it in Sipadan/Mabul

Nice shots Craig.

It is a great tool isn't it?

What kinds of ISO and shutter speeds are you needing for sharp shots?
MikeVeitch
I have shot as slow as 200 ISO and 1/25th shutter and been happy with results

I find shutter speed depends on the subject. For wide angle and diver shots I tend to use Shutter Priority Auto and set to either 1/40th or 1/50th. When I have moving fish in the frame I prefer to use faster shutter speeds of say 1/125th.

I use both ISO 100 and ISO 200 with filters depending on conditions.

I guess that these should go in the compacts forum as they are taken with my Nikon S3. But I don't want to start yet another Magic thread and I' impressed too! These are Magic shots taken with my tiny Nikon S3. No flash. No accessory wide angle lens. Just this tiny camera and I have to say I was very impressed. Both shots taken with Magic at 10-11m.

Apart from Manually setting the WB these shots were just point and shoot Auto everything, with the mini-camera.

Giles, who is in one of the shots, can vouch that they looked this nice on the LCD screen.

Not the greatest pix, but my excuse is that I had the D2X in my other hand! Sorry they are so small, I am on dial up.

that first shot looks amazing ... can't help thinking it isn't just the magic at work there ... but maybe the magic of the model wink.gif
