Could anyone advise whether the D70s can be used in the SUBAL housing designed for the D70? I understand the only difference between the two cameras is the larger LCD screen - will we be able to see the whole (larger) LCD screen in the housing?

Also has anyone had any problems with the single clip closing mechanism on the Subal D70 housing?

Also has anyone used this TTL converter before? any thoughts?http://www.heinrichsweikamp.net

Yep. The D70s fits in the D70 housing.

When I wrote a review of the Subal D70 I did have a moan about the single clip locking mechanism, but everyone I know who has this housing is very happy with the mechanism - so i think my complaint was a bit misplaced.

I would not touch the TTL circuitry with a very long strobe arm. But then, that's just me. Others love it.

Yes, you can see the full lcd.

None of the many I've sold have flooded that I'm aware of, so the latch system works. The system is very easy to work with, and no finger pinching latches!

I've installed the conversion circuitry in several housings, and subal is the easiest because of the nice wiring harnesses in the housing front. Check out Starbucks galleries from Komodo, lots of good stuff w/ the TTL converter (he uses Nexus housings).

Thanks guys.

I think it can't hurt to have the iTTL circuitary built in - as we can always switch the strobe to manual power control (I have a Z220 Inon).
