Drowned cameras

Posted by muckdiver, Jun 4 2009, 12:42 PM

I am still looking fro drowned cameras and lenses. Specifically I want most current Nikon and Canon SLR's. The model lenses I can most use are Nikon 105VR and Canon 100. Camera bodies I want are Nikon D300, D700, D90 and Canon 5D Mark II, 1DS Mark III, 40D, 50D. There may be others but this is a start. I make after market accessories for underwater camera rigs. These parts would be used for my line of Focus Gears.

What I offer in exchange for taking your ruined camera gear is 20% off your next purchase of any product on my web site www.xit404.com check it out there is something for most divers. I also pay the shipping.

If you have anything please let me know.

7D vs FX1 Video

Posted by muckdiver, Jun 18 2006, 03:40 PM

I wrote a few short articles about my experience shooting the 7D. I have been using a camcorder for 3 years now and making the transition has been interesting. If you are curious I posted them on my web site www.muckdiver.com under "video workshop".

super maro

I recently tested a +7 diopter. It is absolutely amazing what you can get using it. The color and resolution are just stunning. My only problem was the entire dive the rig was in super macro mode - a whole new appreciation for what photographers go thru when they pick a lens!

Anyway the video is so awesome that I created a flip-down +7 diopter that fits inside the LMI housing. Now I can take the long and medium shots to go with the closeups. The lens does vignette at about 1/2 the zoom range but who cares now that I can flip it out of the way.

I will be posting a video featuring shots taken with this lens soon.
