The Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society (WDC) has published a comprehensive guide to responsible whale watching practices. The document also features a guide to areas where it is carried out and the issues associated with human:cetacean interactions. Perhaps controversially, the WDC does not advise swimming interactions with dolphins and whales as they say that these can cause “interruptions to life processes.”
