The results of the 2013 Ocean Art Underwater Photo Contest have been announced. Entries were received from over 50 countries. Best of Show and winner of the Cold Water category was Viktor Lyagushkin’s image of ice diving with the subject lit with an off-camera strobe. Congratulations to all the winners and especially to the many Wetpixel members in the placings.
The 2013 Ocean Art contest’s deadline for submissions is 14 November at 11:59 PST. Late entries will be accepted up until 17 November, however, the price for each entry rises to $12/photo.
The Ocean Art Photography Competition 2013 is now calling for entries. The competition has 12 categories, including a novice dSLR category and 3 compact camera categories as well as super macro, cold/temperate water, nudibranchs, and divers/fashion. Other more traditional categories include wide-angle, macro, marine life portraits, and marine life behavior.
