Aquatica announces housing for EOS 5D Mark IV
Aquatica has released details of their forthcoming housing for the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV camera. The A5DMk IV has improved ergonomics, with the “SET” button being repositioned and a new button added for the AF Area control. Strobe triggering can be via optional Ikelite TTL control (with Ike strobes) and the housing supports Aquatica’s port range.
Aquatica announces housing for EOS 1D-X Mark II
Aquatica are shipping their housing for the Canon EOS-1D X Mark II. The A1DXMarkII has easy to reach controls, video on/off via a lever on the right hand side, the company’s new lens gear system and is shipping with vacuum circuitry, bulkhead and pump as standard. Strobe triggering is via electrical bulkhead and the new housing is compatible with all Aquatica’s existing lens ports.
Aquatica announces housing for Sony a6300
Aquatica has announced their housing for the Sony a6300 mirrorless camera. It is supplied with a tray, Aquatica’s standard grips, and a hand strap. The controls are designed to be accessible using either grips or hand strap. There is an optional tray with integrated battery pack available, and ports are available to support “the best lenses for the best optical results.”
Aquatica announces the AD500 housing for the Nikon D500
Aquatica has announced their housing for the Nikon D500 camera, the recently released 20.9 megapixel DX format camera. The AD500 housing will be available mid-July and retails for $3,195 US.
Aquatica announces Close-Up System
Aquatica has announced the release of their Aquatica Close-Up (ACU) system. It consists of +5 and +10 close up lenses, a flip holder, step down ring, lens caddy, manual focus gears and the macro mini port. The components have been redesigned to ensure that they are all compatible.
Aquatica ships grip extender kits
Aquatica has announced that they are shipping simple spacers that allow the handles of their housing to be extended outwards. This gives more working space on the controls for those with big hands or wearing bulky gloves. Available in packs of four, they are shipping now.
Aquatica releases Ikelite TTL strobe controller module
Aquatica has announced an external TTL module for Ikelite strobes. This allows most older Aquatica Canon housings to be fitted with Ikelite’s TTL control circuitry that allows the user to control the output of DS series strobes from the housing. The module can be self installed into a free port in the housing.
Aquatica announces slim macro port
Aquatica has announced a new slim profile macro port. It features 77mm threads for the attachment of filters and external lenses, as well as a bayonet that will allow the attachment of the company’s upcoming flip filter holder.
Aquatica announces housing for the Sony a7R II
Aquatica has announced their housing for the Sony a7R II camera. It features a rear rotary dial wheel that controls the rear rotary dial control and extenders that give ergonomic access to the SET and C1 buttons. It also offers strobe triggering via either optical (with a supplied optical converter), or two Nikonos or Ikelite bulkheads. It is compatible with the full range of Aquatica ports.
