Aquatica has issued a press release clarifying the company’s position regarding the compatibility of their AD7100 housing for use with the Nikon D7200. It states that the AD7100 is fully compatible with the newer camera and that Aquatica do not plan to offer a new housing for the D7200.

Aquatica offers TTL control of Ikelite strobes

Ikelite and Aquatica have announced that the former’s internal TTL strobe circuitry will be available on certain Aquatica housings going forward. This will allow TTL control of Ikelite’s DS series strobes with Aquatica housing, with the latter’s housing for the Canon EOS 7D Mark II being the first to offer this option. Ikelite’s DS series strobes have warm color temperatures that many photographers find pleasing for wide-angle photography.

Aquatica has announced that it will be shipping a housing for the Canon EOS 7D Mk II in early 2015. The new housing will have improved ergonomics, will be compatible with Aquatica’s port system and large control knobs. It will be available with optical, Nikonos or Ikelite strobe connections.

Aquatica has announced that it is working on a housing for the Nikon D810 SLR. Amongst the features planned are access to Fn and Pre buttons, thumb activated ISO lever, and an internal flash enable/disable. It will also have multiple bulkheads. AE/AF and AF ON buttons are locked by a collar.

Aquatica has released details of their forthcoming housing for the Panasonic LUMIX GH4 mirrorless camera. It features a left thumb operated lever for controlling ISO and a “silky smooth” geared zoom/follow focus dial. The AGH4 also has the shutter release, video record lever, aperture control, shutter knobs and AE/AF LOCK lever on the right.

It features a redesigned zoom/focus gear and is shipping with the company’s pressure leak detection “check” circuitry. In addition, it has 5 bulkheads, two of which are occupied with Nikonos or Ikelite connectors as standard.
