SUBIOS 2005 will take place from the 19th to 22nd May 2005.

SUBIOS is Seychelles’ annual underwater festival celebrating the underwater world, through a range of diving and snorkeling activities, and creating awareness with evening programs of film, video and slide presentations by acclaimed local and international guest speakers.

As part of the festival there are also underwater film and photography contests. the Photography and Videography contests run year round, and are open to entries from around the world.

Three special designed trophies will be awarded for the top 3 videos,  The first prize winner of the Video Contest will also win a vacation to the Seychelles to participate in SUBIOS 2006.

And there will be a special prize awarded for the Best Video filmed in Seychelles.

There will also be a special prize awarded for the Best Photo or Image shot in Seychelles.

The closing date for entries for SUBIOS 2005 is 12th May.

The prizes remain fantastic. First prize winners in the video and still image categories and also the winners of the public vote for the best
image and film of SUBIOS 2005 win a trip to Seychelles for SUBIOS 2006 - including flights from any Air Seychelles gateway city, accommodation and diving. That’s FOUR diving trips to Seychelles to be won!

Video entries are limited to a maximum of 5 minutes long and can have been shot anywhere in the world.

And there is a combined category for the best still underwater image of the festival whether digital or slide.

In addition to the Jury’s award there is also a public vote for the best film and image of the Festival.

There are also awards for the best image and film shot in Seychelles.

It really is worth entering.
