Sea&Sea has announced their housing for the Olympus OM-D E-M5 II mirrorless camera. The MDX-EM5 Mark II housing can be used with the Olympus supplied FL-EM3 flash unit to provide fiber optic strobe triggering. It is compatible with the company’s magnifying viewfinders, and has three grip options.

Equipped with two fiber-optic cable sockets

External strobes can be connected through fiber-optic cables. The Olympus FL-LM3 flash can be used to trigger external strobes and can be switch ON/OFF from the housing.

Compatible with both the VF180 1.2x and VF45 1.2x viewfinders

Using the VF180 or VF45 viewfinders increases magnification by 1.2x and provides a full field of view. The VF180 and VF45 are recommended for users dedicated to strict composition and focusing.

Three grip options available

Ergo Grip ver.2 can be fitted to the housing using standard accessories, Grip Brackets L/R. In addition, Grip-Stay L II or SA8 Camera Tray + Grip can also be attached to the housing using the tripod screw holes (x3) on the underside of the housing.

Luminescent Symbols

Major controls, including levers and buttons, will glow in dark conditions.

Equipped with movable Focus/Zoom gear

When the focus/zoom dial is pulled out, the gear inside the housing moves outward and allows large diameter lenses to be easily mounted.

Main dials are equipped with damper springs

The rear dial, the mode dial, and the flash ON/OFF dial have spring-loaded dampers to provide secure operation.

• Front case equipped with a lens-lock release button. This allows lenses to be changed easily without opening the housing.
• The port lock can be activated (lock and unlock) from outside the housing.
• Equipped with two sacrificial zinc diodes (one on the front case and the other on the rear) to avoid electrolysis damage.
• Equipped with the Optical Viewfinder 0.5x as standard. Other optional viewfinders may be used.
• Leak sensor immediately alerts you to water ingress. (Optional)
• A depth rating of 100m / 330ft makes the housing ideal for tech diving..
