Scuba diver caught smuggling marijuana

United States Border Patrol arrested Canadian scuba diver Jesse Zunti early on Monday morning for his unique effort to allegedly smuggle eight pounds of marijuana into the United States.

Zunti entered the waters of the St. Clair river on the Canadian side and swam across to Marine City, Michigan where border patrol agents met him and arrested him. The agents were tipped by a local citizen and confirmed the diver’s whereabouts with security cameras.

It is unclear whether he was trying to swim underwater or on the surface but as most divers know, a three-quarter mile swim is no easy task, perhaps especially so when towing a dry bag full of weed.
