Wetpixel and DPG are proud to announce the winners of this year’s DEEP Indonesia Underwater Photography Competition. Along with Our World Underwater, it is regarded as being the epitome of underwater imaging events, and an amazing test of a photographer’s skill.

This year’s judging panel included Aaron Wong, Daniel Botelho, Abi Smigel Mullens and Joseph Tepper who went through thousands of images and videos taken by underwater image makers of all ages and experience levels. $45,000 worth of prizes have been awarded to the winners, who come from all over the world.

Congratulations to Mathieu Foulquié, who won “Best of Show” for his spectacular first place image from the Behavior category and to all the winners and honorable mentions in the various categories.

The full set of winning images can be found on the UnderwaterCompetition.com site. In addition, the imagery will be featured globally by our supporting media partners. As with all Wetpixel/DPG contests, 15% of proceeds will be donated directly to marine conservation efforts.
