Sea & Sea have announced an early July release date for a new housing; the RDX-550D. This polycarbonate housing has been designed for the popular Canon Rebel T1i/500D and Rebel T2i/550D. It will accept ports from Sea & Sea RDX, NX and CX systems, and allows for fiber optic slave and wired TTL lighting functions. Other features of the housing include:

• Most camera functions are accessible and are operable underwater.
• Camera quick shoe for easy camera installation and removal.
• Sea & Sea Port lock system prevents an attached port from loosening while in use.
• One YS converter connector standard with the housing for dedicated TTL.
• Two fiber optic cable sockets.
• Dual locking latches to prevent accidental release of housing back.
