DiveFilm HD, the popular Podcast produced by Mary Lynn Price, in association with Wetpixel, and which features images and video of the underwater world, has just released a new episode titled “In The Company of Sperm Whales.”

“In The Company of Sperm Whales,” features Eric Cheng and his recent trip to Dominica to photograph Sperm Whales, which he recounted in his blog and also on threads on Wetpixel.

The Podcast goes into details on how Eric became interested in shooting sperm whales in Dominica (Hint/Spoiler Alert: EVERYBODY finds something interesting on Wetpixel), details of his trip, a discussion with the local tour operator who is the expert on the large denizens of Dominica, including “Scar,” one of the more social Sperm Whales and images and video of Eric’s encounters.  If you have any interest in the sperm whales and perhaps going to Dominica one day to photograph whales, you want to check this out.  Also of interest is the fact that the video portions were shot with a Canon 5D Mark II.
