Press Release

Light & Motion Announces Stingray HD and Bluefin HC7 Video Housings Fully Compatible with Sony HDR-HC9 Video Camera

February 14, 2008, Monterey, CA— Light & Motion is announcing that its Stingray HD and Bluefin HC7 Video housings are now 100% compatible with the new Sony HDR-HC9 HDV camcorder. The Sony HDR-HC9 camcorder offers high quality video and is compatible with a wide range of editing suites.  Pairing it with either the Light & Motion Stingray HD or the Bluefin HC7 video housings allows you to take your video to a new level…underwater.

The Stingray HD has been carefully engineered with the primary goal of making it easy to use for both new and experienced videographers. So simple, it makes capturing underwater video images a breeze. With non-penetrating electronic controls it eliminates the risk of housing leaks typical with mechanical through-hole designs. The standard 3.5” high-resolution monitor back gives an easy view of what you’re shooting. Our modular camera trays allows the Stingray HD housing to adapt to nearly the entire line of Sony HD video cameras—while allowing accurate camera positioning to take advantage of Light & Motion’s high quality optics. The Stingray HD is cost-effective to purchase and own as it adapts to a large number of current and future Sony video cameras.

The Bluefin HC7 housing enables you to capture amazing High-Def video that you’ll be proud to view and share. All Light & Motion housings share an unrivaled reliability record boasting a warranty service rate of less than 2%. You can depend on our housings to take high-quality video wherever your travels lead you! With convenient fingertip controls and full access to the camera’s touch screen, it puts the controls right where you need them, at your fingertips. Finally, all Bluefin HC7 housings ship standard with our
