TechCrunch reports that GoPro is planning to release a mobile video editing app to complement its cameras. This will allow users to perform edits and share content on their phones straight after capture. GoPros as capture devices are designed to be left running and to “trap” moments within the continuous recording. Of course this means that the resulting video needs editing to extract the memorable parts, but given the many hours of sea sickness inducing underwater video that currently is out there, it seems that the existing editing solutions are not being used!

GoPro plan to have their mobile app available by late summer 2015.
