Gates releases POV housing system

Gates Underwater Products has announced the release of a Point of View (POV) housing system for the Panasonic AG-HMR10 Recorder and AG-HCK10 Camera. The housing and recorder can be separated by up to sixty feet of cable, making the system ideal for pole cam or shy critter filming. POV systems also give a unique filming perspective, as well advantages in terms of bulk, size and weight.

30 July 2010. Gates Underwater Products announces availability of the small, light and uniquely different HMR10 / HCK10 housings. Designed for the Panasonic AG-HMR10 Recorder and AG-HCK10 camera they offer a wide variety of configurable options where small size and/or distance from the subject are necessary. Typical applications include:

Pole Cam. Boat inspections, shark feeding and crocodile close ups.
Cave Diving. Need to know what’s in the next cenote cavern before penetrating? Fancy an HD helmet cam? Shy Critters. Get close up video of Jawfish, Hermit Crabs, cleaning stations and much, much more – all while hiding behind a coral head.

With separation up to 60 feet / 20 m the Gates HMR10 / HCK10 housing applications are myriad. Or they can be joined together on a swiveling mount and used as conventional underwater video system. Port options include the FP25 Macro, SP25 Standard, and GP25A / WP25A Wide Angle. Options for your specific application include HD-SDI surface feed and UW Comm input.
