Gates Underwater Products has released details and renderings of their forthcoming housing for the Phantom Flex high speed 4K camera. The housing will allow for different resolutions and frame rates, have remote trigger and run options and will give access to all camera menus and controls.

The Gates Flex 4K housing will ship in May and prices are to be announced.

High speed 4K underwater imaging is new to the Gates family of “bulletproof” digital cinema housings.

Poway, CA – 6 April 2014 – Designed specifically for the Phantom Flex 4K camera, Gates announces the Flex 4K underwater housing, providing unprecedented 4K resolution at 960 fps super slow motion underwater imaging capability.

Developed in close collaboration with Vision Research Inc – the recognized world leader in high speed imaging technology – the Flex 4K housing includes several integrated features:

• A wide variety of resolutions and frames rates for super slow motion imaging;
• Remote trigger and run/stop;
• Complete camera control / menu access; and
• Surface PC monitoring and control via Ethernet.
