The Northern California Underwater Photographic Society (NCUPS) is making a final call for entries to the SEA International Underwater Photo and Video Competition and the Bob Commer Award of Excellence in Underwater Photography. The contests feature categories for Macro, Wide Angle, Underwater California, and Marine Conservation and Creative. There are two video categories: Classic and Video Snapshots.

The deadline for entries is 30 June.

Last Call for Entries: 2014 SEA International Underwater Photo & Video Competition

Submit your entries by Monday, June 30, 2014

Last change to submit your entries to the 49th Annual SEA International Underwater Photo & Video Competition and the Bob Commer Award of Excellence in Underwater Photography. Over $25,000 in prizes will be awarded in July.

The competition is open to amateur photographers and cinematographers from around the world using any type of camera.

To enter, photographers and cinematographers must submit a complete an online entry form, upload their images and/or videos and pay the entry fees before 11:59 p.m. PDT on June 30, 2014.

Entry fees are as follows:

(1)Note: A maximum of five entries per category may be entered.

The SEA 2014 competition will issue awards for the best work in underwater still categories including Macro, Wide Angle, Underwater California, and Marine Conservation; plus Creative. There are two video categories; Classic and Video Snapshots.

The SEA 2014 competition Best of Show is awarded the prestigious Bob Commer Award of Photographic Excellence, in addition to a selected prize from the prize list! The Bob Commer Award consists of a trophy and a check for $500.00 USD.

Award sponsors of the SEA 2014 competition donate prizes totaling over twenty five thousand dollars. Previous competitions have brought in the finest still images and video entries from underwater photographers and cinematographers around the world!

Northern California Underwater Photographic Society, also known as NCUPS, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed in 1957 to promote interest in underwater photography. NCUPS sponsors educational events on both underwater photography and video while promoting awareness of the underwater environment and pertinent ecological issues. NCUPS serves the greater San Francisco Bay area, including Silicon Valley.
